Updated Friday 9th May 2008 ART IN THE CAFE Bristol Schools Fairtrade Art Project Three local schools worked with Bristol artist Neil Bonnett to create this masterpiece as part of Fairtrade Fortnight in February of this year. We have it on loan from the Create Centre where is was originally displayed, and are proud to be it’s temporary custodians. More information about it is available in the café. EVENTS AT THE BFC CAFE, ST WERBURGHS CAFE EVENTS Thursday 15th May Transition Bristol, in association with ISEC, presents: Global to Local Entry £3 tbc An evening of presentation and discussion on Food Security in the 21st century. Ed Hamer from the International Society of Ecology & Culture will introduce the issues of agricultural globalisation, the impacts of WTO policy and the need for re-localisation of the food economy. There will be an opportunity to discuss the solutions offered by Transition agriculture and the next steps for the Transition Bristol food group.
