Purple Sprouting Broccoli Stir Fry
This recipe is from Yta Batchelor who grows our purple sprouting broccoli.
Cooking oil (not Olive)
2 cloves garlic - finely sliced
125g ginger root - chopped
500g purple sprouting broccoli - chopped
125g pickled ginger, or 2 tsp ground
pinch salt
pinch sugar
1/4 cup vermouth or sherry
soy sauce or worcester sauce
  • Heat the oil in a wok or large frying pan.
  • Throw in the garlic and sliced ginger root, followed quickly by the broccoli and the pickled or ground ginger and stir fry for a few minutes.
  • Add the salt, sugar and vermouth/sherry and carry on stir frying for a few more minutes.
  • Serve with a sprinkling of soy or Worcester sauce.
