KOHLRABI GRATIN
Serves 4
3 Kohlrabi
600ml Whipping Cream
0.5 Bulb Garlic
1 Pinch Salt & Fresh Ground
Black Pepper
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
- Peel and finely slice the Kohlrabi, ideally with a mandolin.
- In a pan bring the whipping cream to the boil with the half bulb
of garlic. Remove the garlic.
- Butter a gratin dish or small, deep baking tray. Layer the Kohlrabi
slices in the dish, seasoning each layer with salt and freshly ground
pepper.
- Pour a little of the boiled cream over after every three layers of
the kohlrabi.
- Cover with kitchen foil and bake at 200C/gas 6 for 30 minutes.
- To serve, cut a portion of Kohlrabi gratin for each person.
