PREVIOUS PAGE | ALL RECIPES Baby Turnips Cut the leaves off (keep them to one side) and par boil whole. When the turnips are tender but still firm drain and leave in the pan. Wash the leaves and if really fresh they can be used in salads, or if a little further along they can be steamed or stir fried. Just before you are ready to serve your meal add a good amount of butter to the turnips, a sprinkling of chopped, fresh parsley, salt & pepper and saute quickly over a high heat for about 2 - 3 minutes, or until the butter is browning.
