Apple-filled acorn squash
3 acorn squashes
2 apples, chopped
125g chopped walnuts
1 tbsp grated orange peel
125g brown sugar
2 tbsp marg, melted
  • Preheat oven to 175°C, 350°F, Gas 4.
  • Cut squash in half lengthwise and scrape out seeds.
  • Place cut side down in baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Mix the other ingredients.
  • Turn squash cut side up, fill with apple
  • Mix and continue baking for 20 minutes or until squash is tender.
