FREESKILLING IN THE CAFE

Life Drawing
An informal life drawing session with a clothed model. Please bring paper or sketch books, something to lean on and a selection of pens, pencils or charcoal. With Clodagh Scott. Tuesday 3 August, 7pm
Fertility Awareness
Learn how the female body works and identify when it is fertile – or not, depending on what you are interested in! Men welcome too. With Patricia Perez. Tuesday 10 August, 7pm
Be creative with driftwood
Make a plant pot holder out of driftwood. Wood supplied but please bring scissors and ball of string or twine. With Bristol Women’s Workshop tutor Anne Harding. Tuesday 17 August, 7pm
Belly Dancing
Have a fun evening learning to shimmy, shake, and hip drop in the Egyptian fashion. Bring a coin belt if possible and a veil or large piece of light, floaty material like a large pashmina. With Laura Kelly. Tuesday 24 August, 7pm

Explore the amazing world of homeopathy and how it may help you with all sorts of complaints. With homeopath and earth energy healer Alison Wilding.

Summer forage
If you have a little bit of wild food knowledge, but can’t differentiate your dead nettle from you nettle or your borage from your comfrey then this is the day for you. At this time of year the group tends to be very jolly and it promises to be a fun day out and you will be surprised just how much you have learnt.

New Organic Fruit and Veg shop opens in Clevedon
Hurray for Carl
At last someone has opened an organic fruit and veg shop in Clevedon. Carl, who came to help us shape our new style shop in 2007, has just opened a shop called The Veg Box. It is in Old Street, Clevedon. So if you know any one who lives out that direction please let them know. Its a brave move, but driven by a passion to make good fresh local food available in his own town. He also does deliveries to towns and villages local to Clevedon. We are delighted for him and for all those people who have asked when someone was going to do this. Carl is great with fruit and veg for freshness display and customer service.
