Holly Mash qualified as a veterinary surgeon from Bristol University in 2001. She then worked in mixed practice for a year before specialising in companion animals.

In 2003 Holly worked in a holistic veterinary practice in Sydney and studied Traditional Chinese Medicine through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society gaining her IVAS acupuncture certification. She is now on the council of the Association for British Veterinary Acupuncturists.
